چکیده مقاله
In low temperature climates, the impact of icing on wind turbine blades has emerged as a critical concern, challenging not only their performance but also operational safety. The need for effective anti/de-icing methods has become more pressing as pioneering cold climate countries in sustainable energy have decided to harness wind turbine energy. This paper presents an extensive examination of Electro Heating Elements, which offer promising solutions for anti/de-icing applications on iced wind turbine blades. The research method involved a transient thermal analysis of a geometry composed of a heat-conductive film and ice. Previous studies have uniformly applied heat across the geometry chord, consuming a significant amount of heat and time to melt the ice. Consequently, it was decided to identify critical ice points across the chord, analyze different positioning, and provide a suitable distribution. The study revealed that a non-uniform multi-heat flow positioning and heat distribution across various, can melt the ice much faster compared to previous analyses.
