This paper presents a comparison of three electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) configurations.; wingless vectored thrust and lift+cruise. The goal is to assess the performance, efficiency and suitability of each configuration, for urban and extra-urban missions. The aim of this study was to compare different configurations of eVTOL aircraft for urban air mobility (UAM) missions. The performance parameters of each configuration, such as Vectored thrust, Lift+Cruise, and wingless, were evaluated separately based on their characteristics and features. Moreover, the transition modes of each configuration, which differ from each other, were also analyzed. A hypothetical UAM trip consisting of an extra-urban mission from Imam Khomeini Airport to Azadi Square and an urban mission from Azadi Square to the hotel was defined to assess the suitability of each configuration. . In addition to evaluating the performance parameters of different configurations of VTOL aircraft for UAM missions, this study also conducted a comparative analysis of the cost and time benefits of using UAM versus conventional ground transportation modes. The purpose of this analysis was to examine the advantages and disadvantages of each transportation option in terms of travel efficiency, affordability, and convenience, and to provide useful insights for travelers to make informed decisions regarding their travel preferences
