In this article, the flutter of an aircraft wings is modeled and controlled as a continuous system. Aerodynamic forces on the wing caused by the air lead to the phenomenon of flutter. The lack of a proper control can lead to the change in the plane's maneuvering path and instability. In previouse researches, airplane wing vibrations were modeled as a cantilever beam, and only feedback from some certain points of the beam were employed for the controlling purpose. In this article, the beam is modeled continuously, which leads to the extraction of the state space that is a function of the beam coordinate.Thus, it is possible to calculate the feedback in a continuous form and apply a continuous controlling load on the beam in order to control all of the wing’s points and consequently all of its related vibrating modes. To apply a continuous load, the force calculated as a function of the position of the beam is applied by the aid of multiple piezoelectric connected to the beam. It will be shown that it is possible to control the vibration of any point of the beam using the proposed state space and all of the wing vibrational modes caused by the flutter. |
